Properly securing hardwood floorboards is crucial for the long life of the trailer floor. The wood must have some space to work (see also our ‘installation advice’) but must be well secured everywhere on the trailer. Otherwise the boards will get too much space and they will warp and thereby deform the entire floor. A good quality floor screw, which should be fixed at 2 points per floor board per crossbar, will minimize this chance. It can never be excluded, for that reason hardwood remains a natural product. We recommend a special trailer floor screw. We have the DoFast® floor screws from PECO Douwes Groep in our range.
This is a self-threading Torx floor screw that we have in 3 types:
1.For closed trailers with a floor thickness of up to 30mm:
2. For open trailers with a floor thickness of up to 30 mm:
3. For trailer floors thicker than 30mm:

A solid, honest product
Thinking and acting sustainably is important at ATC. You can see that by our procedure and in our products. We have already been working with wooden materials for more than 25 years and we want to carry on doing so for a long time to come. This is why we take our wood from sustainably managed forests. We can also check that ourselves because we import ourselves.
With a floor from ATC you are certain that you have certified wood in your bodywork or trailer. And wood of the highest standard and quality to boot. ATC Trailer Floors is certified according to the standards and principles of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC-C012809).
